IDEO Brand strategy & storytelling

This one is tricky to explain—primarily because of NDAs, but also because there’s no such thing as a “typical” IDEO project. But here’s what I can tell ya: I lead multi-disciplinary teams and clients to design more human-centered brands and purpose-driven organizations.

TLDR: I use strategy to bring brands to life from the ground up…and the inside out.

What does that look like? It starts with research. We dig deep into consumer needs and use those insights to present opportunity areas that forge authentic connections between brands and their intended audiences. From there, I collaborate with our clients to define and articulate the brand’s strategic foundation (purpose, mission, vision, personality, positioning, promise) and provide creative direction on the verbal and visual design (voice and tone; look and feel). I craft narratives that evoke emotion and inspire action, and help shape a cohesive brand personality.
